I WANT TO TOUCH YOU @ The Boboli at The Garden of Unearthly Delights, Adelaide 09/03/2021

If there was anything that 2020 made us realise is that as humans, we feed off the touch from other humans. When you are faced with being restricted to that physical emotion you crave it even more. I WANT TO TOUCH YOU by acrobatics and physical theatre company Gravity & Other Myths (GOM) presents an acrobatic roller-coaster ride on the significance of touch.

Its storytelling with movement interpreting the many human elements from touch and the eight person team expressed it with genuine warmth. While most of the show is speechless, the monologue about touch added a humorous and fun interlude in between the acts of contorting bodies, intertwining acrobatics and spectacular highflying body kicks.

The jazzy energy by five piece band Nu Article added that extra element of suspense or emotion when needed with their funky cool beats. I WANT TO TOUCH YOU is acrobatics at its finest. Whether it’s in the air or on the ground the pushes, pulls, spins and turns, flips and slams have you in awe as well as mesmerised. Its graceful and heart-warming all in one with a little bit of cheeky comedy thrown in for fun!
