Summer Sounds Festival Line Up Additions

Drinking, dancing and live music is officially back in Adelaide with Summer Sounds Festival which is on well and truly! To celebrate, the festival has added even more acts to its already stacked line-up with some huge supports announced for the following bunch of dates…

SUN 24 JAN: LIME CORDIALE + BAKER BOY + GEORGE ALICE
FRI 29 JAN: BALL PARK MUSIC + SPACEY JANE + JESS DAY (SOLD OUT – JOIN WAITLIST HERE)

At the age of 19, Canberra rapper Genesis Owusu had already performed explosive sets at Groovin’ The Moo, Spilt Milk and St. Jerome’s Laneway with the notoriety of his live show continually growing. Owusu has been nominated for two National Live Music Awards; Hip Hop Live Act of the Year, and ACT Live Act of the Year with his duo, The Ansah Brothers.

CLYPSO has already garnered a slew of notable nods and achievements in the past year including reaching the Top 10 on the Australian Viral 50 Spotify playlist, Triple J Unearthed Artist of the Week, and FBi’s Independent Artist of the Week. Thu 21 Jan is going to be one huge night at Bonython Park with these two joining the party!

With a triple J Unearthed High winning debut Circles in her stride and making a splash with follow up single Stuck in a Bubble, 2020 has been a big year for 17-year-old George Alice climbing to #1 on Australia’s viral chart. Both tracks have now clocked a combined 10 million global streams, landing coveted cover profiles on Spotify’s Pop n’ Fresh and The Local List. Don’t miss this impressive Adelaidean as she takes the stage in her hometown Sun 24 Jan.

Adelaide’s young revelation, Jess Day, has featured on many of Spotify’s most noteworthy playlists including Front Left, The Local List, Indie Arrivals, Women of AU & NZ, Broad Chords, Chords & Cardigans and Fresh Finds: Index. Reminiscent of the girl grunge of the late 90s mixed with the optimism of modern indie-pop, Day’s heart on her sleeve approach to music is rapidly earning her a reputation for her insanely catchy tunes that are sure to please live.
