One of Australia’s best live bands of the 90’s, CHOCOLATE STARFISH, have been announced as special guests at Weekend Of Rock at Adelaide Oval on Friday February 19th, hitting the main stage with iconic hometown favourites The Angels.
Chocolate Starfish powered on to the Australian music scene in the early 1990’s and quickly established themselves as an influential force with their cover of Carly Simon’s You’re So Vain, their original smash hit Mountain and the perennial favourite Four Letter Word.
Twenty-five plus years later, the band is living up to its reputation and then some, still blowing audiences away with their powerhouse performances and magnetic stage presence. Driving this rock ‘n’ roll juggernaut is electric, engaging front man Adam Thompson, whose provocative vocals and unpredictable stage antics compel audiences to join in as he leads them in what can only be described as a mass game of ‘Simon Says’…’Starfish Says’!
“It’s an honour to kickstart the Weekend Of Rock in Adelaide,” Adam Thompson from Chocolate Starfish said. “After the uncertainty and lean times of 2020 concerts, what better place to showcase some of Australia’s staple rock bands, than at the Adelaide Oval, one of the country’s most iconic sporting venues.
“Dave Gleeson and I are probably two of the most unpredictable front men in the country, so if you’re looking to be entertained, this bill of The Angels and Chocolate Starfish is the one for you,” Thompson said. “The one thing we both can guarantee is loud, bombastic, cheeky rock and roll without limitation.”
As The Angels perform their catalogue of hits from a career spanning over 45 years as Australia’s longest-lasting band, Weekend Of Rock will now kick off in spectacular style on the Friday night. It’s a rock ‘n’ roll fan’s perfect Friday night out!
