How does it feel to be a part of the Adelaide Fringe?
Every year the fringe is always something that I look forward too! The energy and all the amazing shows It always feels surreal being part of the fringe.
How would you describe your music?
I would describe my music as storytelling, with a folky and pop sound.
What can audiences expect when they hear you perform at the Garden?
They will expect an hour’s worth of me sharing my stories through my music, which I hope many can relate to in their own way. Music is such a universal language and it connects so many of us in such a beautiful way. As well as sharing my favourite covers.
Which song is your favourite to sing in your show?
My most favourite song to perform at the moment is a new original called “cause of you” and I love it for the reason that it sounds different to my current songs, in the best way possible!
How important is it to showcase Indigenous musicians?
It is so important, the stories that we share of our culture and who we are is so special to me. Opening up spaces like these for Indigenous artists including myself is a step forward in terms of coming together but most importantly truth telling about our history, for our voices to be heard through song.
Getting into the Fringe spirit which show in The Garden is your Pick for the Fringe?
I would say Nancy Bates and Friends!
