A Free Live Music Discovery Event Hits Port Adelaide!
Live music fans, it’s time to get your walking shoes on! On Saturday 17 February 2024, the City of Port Adelaide Enfield is throwing a one-night, free live music event showcasing over 25 of South Australia’s best emerging local musicians across multiple Port Adelaide venues.
New Found Sound is a free music discovery walking trail where punters can bounce between nine diverse spaces across the Port including Archie Badenoch, The Banksia Tree, Confession, Fergie Mac’s Lounge, Iparrityi Laneway, Milledge’s Distillation, Pirate Life Brewery, the Port Admiral Hotel and even inside the iconic Port Adelaide Lighthouse for an epic soundscape experience developed by South Australian contemporary electronic artist Loud Clouds.
There’s truly something for everyone, with the lineup spanning genres including punk, soul, indie folk and psych rock, with program highlights including some of SA’s most talented and emerging talent like Placement, Coldwave, Sons of Zoku, Timberwolf, Nancy Bates, Naomi Keyte, Alana Jagt, Django Rowe Trio and many, many more!
The evening’s music programming will kick off from 6.00pm and will run across all 9 venues until 11.00pm, however event attendees are encouraged to head down to the Port earlier in the afternoon to experience the best that the historic town of Port Adelaide has to offer.
The inaugural free music event is presented by City of Port Adelaide Enfield in partnership with Live Music Office and APRA AMCOS, as part of the Live & Local program initiative born from the council’s Creative Port Plan. Live & Local aims to increase live music activity in Port Adelaide by supporting local musicians, businesses and organisations.
