Bands On Track 2022 Line-Up Announced

Music SA has announced the six artists chosen for this year’s Bands On Track line-up for the 2022 VALO Adelaide 500.

The program will provide a platform for six local emerging artists to perform at the VALO Adelaide 500, which will be held in Adelaide between December 1-4 2022.

Selected by a panel of independent judges from a submission process, MARLON X RULLA, Madura Green, The Empty Threats, Workhorse, Oscar the Wild and Bermuda Bay will have the opportunity to delight audiences with a sample of the best local sounds of the South Australian music scene.

Kicking off the concert series on Friday December 2 will be dynamic duo MARLON X RULLA and alt-emo pop outfit Madura Green who will be opening for Lime Cordiale, The Presets, Baker Boy and Teenage Joans.

Saturday December 3 will see up-and-coming psych-rockers The Empty Threats and twangy indie-rock band Workhorse supporting Australian music heavyweights Jimmy Barnes, ICEHOUSE and Noiseworks.

Wrapping up a huge weekend on Sunday December 4, local bubble grunge quartet Oscar the Wild and indie-pop outfit Bermuda Bay will fire up the crowd ahead of US rock behemoths The Killers, Amy Shark and Something For Kate.

The return of the VALO Adelaide 500 and Bands On Track in this year’s format promotes a collaborative relationship between arts and motorsport, both coming together in an ultimate showcase of South Australian talent.

The VALO Adelaide 500 will take place on December 1-4 at the Victoria Park Adelaide Street Circuit with Bands On Track performers warming up the stage on the Friday – Sunday nights.
