Supergrass Celebrate 25th Anniversary of “Alright”

Twenty five years to the day since the release of Alright, seminal British group Supergrass have released a 6 track Digital EP to celebrate the occasion. The EP comprises three versions of the anthemic ode-to-youth that catapulted the Oxford trio into mainstream as well as a live version of double A-side track Time and B-sides Condition and Je Suis Votre Papa Sucre. Released on July 3rd 1995, Alright is taken from the platinum selling chart-topping debut album I Should Coco and reached #2 in the UK singles chart.
Nine years after going their separate ways, Supergrass reformed in 2019 for a critically acclaimed, sold out tour of the UK, Europe and North America including two sold out shows at London’s Alexandra Palace.
A career-spanning, deluxe best-of box set – Supergrass: The Strange Ones 1994 – 2008 – produced in association with the band, was released in January of this year. This comprehensive release, marking the 25th anniversary of of their chart-topping debut album I Should Coco, is a celebration of Supergrass’ incredible career. It contains their 6 original albums on picture disc LP and CD, bonus CDs of unreleased live material, B-sides, remixes, rarities, studio out-takes, demos, acoustic versions, oddities, new mixes, a deluxe book, posters and button badges. It also features over 6 hours of previously unreleased audio material. A new 2LP / 1CD / Digital Strange Ones best of package was also released in January, compiled by Supergrass.
