Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers National Tour

With new music on the horizon, rising Canberra grunge revivalists Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers are today stoked to announce a headline national tour in February / March next year. The band’s upcoming single Deskchair is due for release mid-January, and follows their acclaimed 2019 tracks See You In A Bit (I Still Care) and I Like That You Like That.

The news comes ahead of their full run of appearances at Falls Festival, including dates in Lorne, Marion Bay, Byron Bay, and Fremantle. Teen Jesus & the Jean Teasers also recently performed at Stonefest and Spilt Milk, following a capacity showcase at BIGSOUND earlier this year.

Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers rapidly built up a name for themselves throughout Canberra after coming through Triple j Unearthed High. Not soon thereafter, the girls began playing alongside acts such as Polish Club, Bleeding Knees Club, Northeast Party House, Alex Lahey, Press Club, Spiderbait and Slowly Slowly on their national ‘Jellyfish’ tour. The 90’s grunge-influenced band have also scooped up Lost Paradise, Spilt Milk 2019 and Stonefest slots, as well as previously performing at Canberra Groovin’ The Moo, and St Jerome’s Laneway Festival in Sydney this year.

Breaking away from the power-pop style from their latest EP, Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers are growing up; and so is their sound. After taking a break in 2018 to finish up their schooling, the girls released their new single as a 4 piece band I Like That You Like That influenced by the 90’s alt-rock era. Following is their newest release – See You In A Bit (I Still Care), a song that reflects on love-hate relationships with the same gritty grunge style.
