Disco brought with it more than just great songs, it ushered in unfiltered expression, fun and above all else, a freedom that would define a generation. It would become the last mass popular music movement of the Urban Nightlife Scene driven by the baby-boomers generation. Now, DISCO SPECTACULAR at the Sydney Opera House will give back to the era that gave us so much, by recreating the soundtrack as you’ve never experienced it before.
George Ellis is one Australia’s most admired conductors, composers and orchestrators. He will lead the 45 Piece Symphony Orchestra as they pay tribute to the vibe and energy of the Disco era that had an entire generation not just dancing but feeling glorious while they did so.
