Middle Kids Announce Headline Album Tour
Following news that their debut album Lost Friends will drop on May 4, Middle Kids are excited to reveal details of their forthcoming national tour.
Presented by triple j, the tour will take the band – Sydney’s Hannah Joy, Harry Day and Tim Fitz – across Australia through May, kicking off at Perth’s Rosemount Hotel on May 9. They’ll head to Mojo’s Bar, Fremantle on May 10, Adelaide’s Fat Controller on May 11, then to Brisbane on May 18 at Woolly Mammoth, the Karova Lounge in Ballarat on May 25 and concluding at Melbourne’s Corner Hotel on May 26.
These national tour dates follow on the back of two very intimate sold out Album Preview shows next month – Oxford Art Factory, Sydney on March 11 and Howler in Melbourne on March 19. These shows sold out in a few days, so don’t miss your chance to catch the band when they return in May.
Lost Friends has already delivered stellar lead single Mistake, currently spinning on high rotation on triple j.
On Lost Friends, Middle Kids bring back their knack for haunting hooks, lyrical poignancy and irresistible indie rock appeal that critics praised in their self-titled first EP, released early 2017. The songs’ edges are jagged, the production clean, stray imperfections imbue warmth and a human touch.
