Adelaide Date Announced For Gomez

Adelaide Beer and BBQ Festival are excited to announce Gomez at the Old Adelaide Gaol to kick off their first tour in Australia for 6 years! This tour coincides with the 20th anniversary of their breakthrough album Bring It On.
The five members of Gomez played their first shows together in Leeds in late 1996, and soon began recording songs in Olly’s dad’s garage in Southport. The demos aroused considerable interest, and the group signed to the Virgin subsidiary label Hut Records in 1997. These garage demos eventually became their debut, Bring It On, which was praised in the rock press on both sides of the Atlantic. Bring It On was followed by several more critically acclaimed and highly successful records such as 1999’s Liquid Skin, 2004’s Split the Difference and How We Operate in 2006.
Punters will be encouraged to dine in the beer garden in the old exercise yard of the Gaol before the show with BBQ presented by Alana Brabin of “If You’re Game…”.
With the focus on fresh and local, it goes without saying that the menu is designed carefully for each event. Alana is bringing her pride and joy “Rosie” the massive grills on the road as it’s charcoal, fire and quality fare. She brings her passion for game and local produce to this event. Something for the vegans, and of course the carnivores.
Supports to be announced!
Good food, good beer and good music!
This show is an 18+ gig.
