The Creases Announce Debut Album Tour

Four years on from their very first recordings together as a band, and with an acclaimed EP, a bunch of popular singles and numerous sold-out tours to boast about in between, The Creases are now set to reveal their debut long-player Tremolow. The eagerly awaited album will be released on August 4, via (the very excited team at) Liberation.
Twelve tracks in total, Tremolow clocks in at a glorious 47 minutes, and sees the Brisbane band a little older, a tiny bit wiser, undeniably more confident and assured, but no less spontaneous, affable or fun. Over the years – from the release of their first single I Won’t Wait via Rough Trade – The Creases’ music has transitioned into something uniquely identifiable: youthful, great-haired indie rock ‘n’ roll, underpinned by award-winning songwriting.
Recorded with producer Malcolm Besley (City Calm Down, Northeast Party House) in a collection of studios and houses around Melbourne, Tremolow features the band’s freshest tune Is It Love (out now), along with other recent faves Point, Impact and Everybody Knows.
New single Is It Love is the perfect antidote to wintry days ahead. Alluring us with an irresistible groove and bassline, this instant classic expands The Creases’ sound all the way to the warm confines of the dancefloor. Joe’s effortless ability to weave the coolest of melodies is on full display, backed by catchy group vocals that complement jangly guitars and blissful pop synths.
Along with their debut album release, the next few months hold plenty to look forward to for The Creases. Next month they’ll open for Two Door Cinema Club at the band’s headline shows around Splendour.
To accompany the announcement of the album release, the band unveiled a short trailer which provides a window into the world of Tremolow.
