Lloyd Cole Adds A Second Adelaide Show

These days many acts seem to skip Adelaide altogether, but British singer songwriter Lloyd Cole has bucked the trend by adding a second date to his Adelaide visit in January. His first show at The Church of The Trinity on January 13 had caused a frenzy for tickets, but due to the cancellation of the scheduled date for Lismore on the 11th, Adelaide gets an extra show on January 12th.
The tour celebrating the release of the new collection Lloyd Cole & The Commotions Collected Recordings 1983 – 1989, will see Lloyd playing only songs from this classic era of material. Like other ‘alternative’ acts in the 1980’s (The Smiths, Orange Juice and Go-Betweens), they flew in the face of the flouncy pirate shirts and poodle haired cock-rockers bringing delicate, intelligent pop music to the charts. They had a fantastic parade of hit songs in a short period Rattlesnakes, Lost Weekend, Perfect Skin, Are You Ready to Be Heartbroken?, Brand New Friend, From The Hip and more.
