THE PRODIGY Announce 30th Anniversary Vinyl Of Breathe
Wednesday 11th November 2026 will mark the 30th anniversary of The Prodigy’s Breathe. A track so iconic, it changed the landscape of British music forever.
XL Recordings announces a 30th anniversary 12″ vinyl edition of The Prodigy’s ‘Breathe,’ bringing together the original track, an instrumental version, and the highly sought-after remixes by The Glitch Mob and Mefjus & Camo & Krooked. Available to pre-order now, the record will be released on Friday 13 November.
‘Breathe’ was the second single taken from The Prodigy’s game-changing album The Fat of the Land, and gave the band their second consecutive UK number one, following Firestarter – which XL marked with its own 30th anniversary vinyl release earlier this year. The single was released alongside a Walter-Stern-directed video that won the Viewer’s Choice at the 1997 MTV Video Music Awards and the International Viewer’s Choice award at the MTV Europe Music Awards.
Following its 1997 release, The Fat of the Land became a global phenomenon, debuting at number one on album charts around the world and going on to sell over 10 million copies. The album turns 30 on 28th July 2027, and is widely regarded as one of the defining and most influential albums of its era.
Three decades on, The Prodigy continue to thrill audiences with their recorded output and draw huge crowds for their dynamic live performances. This year alone, The Prodigy hosted four massive outdoor Warriors Dance events across the UK and Ireland, bringing Carl Cox, Andy C and more with them to support.
