Scene Queen Tears Into A New Chapter With New EP ‘Metalicious’
Scene Queen is further cementing her place within the metal scene with her latest ep, Metalicious. Coining her iconic style of music as “bimbocore,” Scene Queen pushes the boundaries of genre while blending in a Y2K centric theme on the EP, touching on flip phones, and tracksuits galore.
Now, fans can hear the EP in its entirety, as well the fierce new track Drop Dead Gorgeous which is featuring TX2. The colliding of two worlds on this track is something fans will equally be excited to hear and keep on repeat.
Previous singles from the EP like Metalicious featuring Left to Suffer, Tracksuit, and Manicure all proved to be fan favourites. With Tracksuit having a fan-centric pop up in LA back in April of this year and Metalicious one of Scene Queens heaviest songs yet and features fellow Metal superstar Left To Suffer.
SCENE QUEEN SHARES:
“METALICIOUS the EP is as chaotic recession pop, y2k – coded, metal madness. I wanted an EP that was as fun to make as when I was writing the Bimbocore volumes and making music was fresh and new to me. In the spirit of Bimbocore, I experimented with the pop influences, but this time the heavy parts are the heaviest they’ve ever been. From deathcore features, to me laying down some of my lowest screams yet, this ep was as fun to make for me as it sounds through out. Yes there’s some trauma dumping in there, but it’s a Scene Queen EP so what do you expect.”
