HEADSEND Release New Single ‘Free’
HEADSEND drop blistering new track Free, a preview of their forthcoming second EP, due later this year. Recorded live in Byron Bay with Nick DiDia, Free signals a new era for the band while picking up where their no-skips debut EP Angel Glands left off – fully formed urgent riffs, tightly coiled lyrics, and the kind of intensity already making their live shows so crushing.
The band will bring Free to North America when they kick off their first major international tour on July 31. The run includes support dates with Eagles of Death Metal and a string of debut headline shows across the US and Canada, before HEADSEND head across the Atlantic in September for their first UK and European run, including newly announced appearances at All Points East and Reeperbahn Festivals. The band will then return home to Australia to release their new EP and join the Rolling Sets Festival lineup across QLD and NSW
Built first and foremost as a live band, HEADSEND’s rise has been defined on stage. Known for their intensity and a mammoth live sound that defies what should be possible from a three-piece, Rasmus King, brother Kyuss, and high school friend Bon Soric cast a transfixing presence. From supporting Wunderhorse on their sold-out Australian tour in 2025 and stepping onto arena and stadium stages with Tool and AC/DC, to selling out their own headline shows, HEADSEND have built a reputation as one of the country’s most compelling heavy bands. At the band’s sold-out Sydney headline show at Dead Set in May 2026, Scenestr wrote that “audiences are transfixed by the band.”
Alongside Free, the band have a slew of new material in the bag. Expect to hear more of it road-tested on stages across Australia, North America, UK and Europe, with the forthcoming EP set to build on the band’s formidable early momentum.
