Dexter And The Moonrocks Return With Sentimental New Single ‘If You Could Talk’
Following the release of breakout single Freakin’ Out – which peaked at #43 on the ARIA charts, #1 on the Billboard Alternative Radio charts and has now amassed nearly 200 million global streams – US “Western Space Grunge” outfit Dexter and The Moonrocks return with sentimental new single If You Could Talk ahead of their debut Australian shows this October.
Written for lead singer James Tuff’s young son, If You Could Talk is a slow-burning, heartfelt reflection on life on the road and the quiet heartache of being so far away from family. Through the lonesome plucks of a dusty acoustic guitar, Tuff grapples with the sacrifices that come with touring and the guilt of chasing his dreams while trying to stay connected to the ones he loves. As the track builds, the band’s signature grunge-infused wall of sound crashes in, capturing the emotional toll of leaving family behind.
The band have received heavy local support from Triple M, Music Feeds, Trusty Chords and The AU Review, as anticipation builds for their first ever Australian shows as part of Strumminbird Festival. Most recent single 12 Steps – a collaboration with fellow alt-country rockers Treaty Oak Revival saw over 12M streams in the first six weeks, as they continue to carve a path towards their highly anticipated debut album.
