The triumphant return of THE SUPERSUCKERS & NASHVILLE PUSSY, but Australia, it just got bigger, it’s Hammertime – that’s right, direct from Kentucky, USA, we bring you NINE POUND HAMMER for their first time ever Down Under. Three of the greatest American Rock N Roll / Punk / Cowpunk bands y’all ever did see. This is gonna be one Helluva HoeDown Under, again!!
THE SUPERSUCKERS + NASHVILLE PUSSY + NINE POUND HAMMER are ready to rip Australia a new one in late February 2027. This time with some added stops. Get ready Gold Coast, Geelong and Frankston, they’re comin’ your way this time round.
THE SUPERSUCKERS will open the gates in Brisbane, Gold Coast and Melbourne, with NASHVILLE PUSSY headlining these shows. Then in Sydney, Adelaide, Geelong and Frankston, NASHVILLE PUSSY will open the shows, while THE SUPERSUCKERS take the bull by the horns!
Having had a long and colourful career with some Alt Hit singles along the way like Born With A Tail which received heavy airplay in Australia, THE SUPERSUCKERS return to Australia after the initial SUPERPUSSY tour couple years back. These legends of Cowpunk have a huge following here in Australia, and these shows are sure to pack out.
After nearly four decades of unapologetic rock n’ roll, the Supersuckers return with their twelfth studio album, Liquor, Women, Drugs & Killing, out now via Hardcharger Records. Eddie, Marty and Chris will see you all soon!!
This is Hardline Media’s third run with NASHVILLE PUSSY, of course with the Superpussy tour a couple years back and with their sold out shows on their 2022 Aussie tour, including being the last band EVER to play the iconic Frankies in Sydney – which had well over 5000 people lining the streets of Sydney’s CBD attempting to get into the club to witness the closing of the venue and Nashville Pussy! Twas a raucous Rock n Roll night – one for the history books.
Raised on a diet of Marshall stacks, Gibson Guitars, Jack Daniels and weed, NASHVILLE PUSSY is the bastard offspring of foul-mouthed, demented, hillbilly, ice-cream man BLAINE CARTWRIGHT and tractor driving, nude art school model and guitar prodigy RUYTER SUYS. Born deep in the Baptist Bible Belt of Kentucky, USA – BLAINE CARTWRIGHT used the sounds of The Ramones and The New York Dolls to maintain sanity. Meanwhile in Vancouver, Canada, 8 year old, hippie kid, Ruyter Suys picked up her father’s guitar and started playing along with Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix. “We got married on a dare, after dropping acid… Nashville Pussy is our baby,” says Suys.
And let’s not forget the powerhouse rhythm section of amazing Bonnie Buitrago on Bass, and the dude that is Dusty Watson on drums. Note – Metal fans check who played drums on Lita Ford’s “Out For Blood” – best bring that to the Meet and Greet and maybe some Sonics stuff too for all you Skegs out there!!!

Last but not least, direct from Kentucky USA , its Hammertime – NINE POUND HAMMER. One of the true originators of the Cow-Punk genre, the Hammers are heading down under for the first time. Nine Pound Hammer was one of the first rural hardcore punk bands to substantially incorporate rural blue-collar motifs into the minimalistic hardcore sound. With 12 albums under their belt, and break ups over the years (most notably in 1997 when Blaine after the break-up went on to form Nashville Pussy) the band has stood the test of time as one of the South’s finest!!! With landmark albums Smokin’ Taters and Hayseed Timebomb to later releases such as When The Shit Goes Down. You cannot miss this band, they are in firing form!
