QUEERDO @ Marys Poppin, Adelaide 21/3/2026
What can only be described as a Hot Camp Mess, QUEERDO is exactly that! Local Adelaide Drag Queen Glitzy Von Jagger presented her debut Adelaide Fringe show that was filled with shameless glitz and glamour. Presented in three acts; ACT 1 – Trauma Dump, ACT 2 – Whinging Pom and ACT 3 Miss Congeniality, Glitzy took us through her life growing up, hiding her true identity until she couldn’t and her journey ending up in Adelaide finding a community at Marys Poppin as well as marrying the love of her life!
Spoken in true Glitzy Von Jagger style, describing herself as Brit-ish because, well, she’s now part Aussie, we heard tales of her life in full Glitzy colour! Bantering with the audience fully immersing herself in the crowd’s adoration she hoped the show would be cathartic for them as it was for her, yelling “You all look fucking beautiful!”
Showcasing her vocals with original songs like the heartfelt Balladeer, a song written during her outback adventures and the other original banger, her first single Sharp Dressed Them which is a remix of ZZ Top’s hit Sharp Dressed Man as well as pop classics Bananarama’s Venus and showcasing her mean vocal prowess on Queen’s I Want To Break Free.
QUEERDO was a pulsating, high energy drag show with humorous storytelling added in with a mix of original and popular classic dance songs, as well as glamorous costumes changes between Acts. Glitzy Von Jagger was hot, sexy and seductive, finishing the night singing the Chappell Roan hit Pink Pony Club. She told the crowd “I hope you found this healing” and while this show was healing for Glitzy, I’m pretty sure it was too for many in the room!
