Nath Valvo – Homebody @ Spiegel Zelt at The Garden Of Unearthly Delights, Adelaide 11/3/2026
Nath Valo is a Homebody. When you reach the ripe old age of forty something (sorry, but I cant believe he is in his forties) as he says, he’s “getting closer to Boomer status” (again, sorry, I don’t believe it!) Valvo is back with a new show and considering he’s been performing at the Adelaide Fringe for fifteen years he can still captivate an audience and hold them in hysterical laughter. Fresh from the jungles of Africa we got the scoop on some of the shenanigans that went on during his twenty four of the twenty five days. The show starts with a video of his jungle cast-mates and from there it was an hour of non-stop talking and a whole heap of laughs!
Valvo covered all the Homebody topics; saying that he’s not cool (we think he is), his parents and how close he was moving back in with them, going out is the thing twenty year olds do not the forty year olds, Karens and Boomers is something closer to what he is becoming and how talking in relationships is just too much! The ABC was also in his sights with hilarious stories of his appearances on the network. The sweet story of how he met his husband Cody on the channel’s morning show. Well, it could’ve been sweeter but it was funny to hear the contrasts in their appearance on the show!
The thing about Nath Valvo is, he doesn’t stop talking. Everyone knows it, especially him. As he said ‘maybe he’s just like his mother’ and he just “never shuts the fuck up!” That’s a good thing because just as he likes a ‘good goss’ sesh, we love a good Nath Valvo sesh. He knows how to deliver a laugh. He’s certainly come a long way from his first Adelaide Fringe where he performed in a shipping container, now in The Garden of Unearthly Delights he’s in the Speigel Zelt!
This is one of those shows that you walk in all warm and fuzzy and walk out warmer and fuzzier. As Nath Valvo says “Talking makes the world go round!”
