Melbourne’s Internet Romance Are Set To Release Their Debut Single…

Melbourne heavy-rock/punk outfit Internet Romance are set to release their debut single My Dog’s A Liar – an explosive, tongue-in-cheek track about a dog who can’t be trusted. Drums hit hard, bass rumbles thick, and guitars cut sharp, carrying vocals that slip between sneer and snarl. Their writing mixes deadpan humour and absurdist storytelling with punchy lines and repeating motifs, all wrapped in raw post-punk energy.

Recorded and produced by Callan Orr (Avalanche Studios), the track marks the official arrival of Internet Romance, a four-piece band who have been tearing through Melbourne’s underground scene all spring 2025. They’ve already made waves with support slots at The Evelyn Hotel, Bendigo Hotel, Bad Decisions Bar, and Creatures Bar, earning a reputation for high-energy, chaotic live shows.

Looking ahead to 2026, the band plan a follow-up single, music videos, regional shows, more Melbourne dates, and the release of their debut EP.

My Dog’s A Liar will be available on all streaming platforms Monday, 12 January, with the band celebrating the release at their first headline show, My Dog’s A Liar – Single Launch, at The Workers Club, Fitzroy, on Friday, 16 January 2026. Special guests include Serious Crew, The Toranas, and Lipstick Grenade.
