New South Australian Music Festival A Day In The Gully Kicks Off With A Stacked Line Up

Australia’s live music scene is heading to north-east Adelaide, with names like Chet Faker and Ball Park Music joining a stacked line-up for A Day in the Gully this summer.

The brand-new, jam-packed festival will be delivered by SRO Events (Standing Room Only), in partnership with the City of Tea Tree Gully and will land at Civic Park, Modbury, on Saturday, 28 February 2026. The event will bring some of Australia’s biggest and most loved artists to the heart of the north-east for the first time.

Expected to attract thousands of music lovers, the one-day event will be the first major national headline music festival ever held at Civic Park. Open to all ages, A Day in the Gully will welcome families and music fans alike to celebrate Australian talent, local food and wine, and the laidback community vibe that defines the region.

From chart-topping Aussie touring artists to emerging indie bands, A Day in the Gully offers a diverse mix of music and promises to mark a new era of live entertainment for the north-east.

The full A Day in the Gully lineup includes:

CHET FAKER: Since 2011 Chet Faker has carved out his own extraordinary path to success. With his first EP, Thinking in Textures, he won Breakthrough Artist of the Year, and his 2014 debut LP Built on Glass debuted at #1, spawning the hits Gold and Talk Is Cheap (the latter topping Triple J’s Hottest 100) and ultimately earning five ARIA Awards. Earlier this year, Chet Faker returned with his first new single since 2023, Far Side of the Moon — shimmering proof that his journey is far from over.

BALL PARK MUSIC: One of Australia’s most beloved indie bands, Ball Park Music have released seven acclaimed albums, earned multiple platinum singles, and sold out countless shows. In 2025, they supported Oasis on their Australian tour, marking another huge milestone in their incredible journey.

THE LIVING END: The Living End are one of Australia’s most ferocious live acts, consistently headlining festivals around the country. Their blistering live performances have earned the band an enviable position as one of Australia’s greatest live bands. At ARIA Music Awards ceremonies, they have been nominated 27 times and have won six awards.

PETE MURRAY: With over 1.2 million albums sold, 17 ARIA nominations and three chart-topping records, Pete Murray is one of Australia’s most loved singer-songwriters. Known for timeless hits So Beautiful, Better Days and Opportunity, Murray returns with his eighth studio album Longing — his first fully independent release.

MALLRAT: Mallrat has been breaking barriers since her influential debut – accumulating over half a billion career streams in her discography, a #1 ARIA charting album sold-out international tours and multiple ARIA Platinum awards. Mallrat has shared stages with Kylie Minogue and Post Malone; collaborated with the likes of Azealia Banks, The Chainsmokers, and BENEE, and boasts multiple triple j Hottest 100 entries.

TEENAGE JOANS: After winning triple j Unearthed High in 2020, Adelaide duo Teenage Joans have become one of Australia’s most exciting punk-pop acts. Known for their explosive live shows and powerful songwriting, they’ve taken the stage at Splendour in the Grass, Laneway, SXSW and more.

THE TULLAMARINES: Hailing from Adelaide, The Tullamarines are one of Australia’s fastest-rising indie-rock bands. Their dynamic live energy and heartfelt storytelling have seen them tour nationally with The Vaccines and Teenage Joans, and perform at Laneway, Spin Off and NYE On The Hill.

“We’re thrilled to be bringing A Day in the Gully to Tea Tree Gully in February 2026 – an incredible new music festival that celebrates community, creativity, and connection. Our vision is to create an unforgettable experience that showcases amazing Australian artists, local food and wine, and the relaxed, welcoming vibe that makes this region so special”, said Danielle Jones, Managing Director & Co-Owner of SRO Events.

While A Day in the Gully is fully produced by SRO Events, the City of Tea Tree Gully Council has proudly partnered with SRO Events to make the festival more accessible for locals and their families. Thanks to the Council’s contribution, City of Tea Tree Gully residents will enjoy an exclusive locals-only presale, with tickets available at a $50 discount.

“This new music festival is all about bringing people together. It will be a great chance to celebrate Australian live music and have some fun – right in our own backyard. I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone at Civic Park having an amazing time”, said City of Tea Tree Gully Mayor Marijka Ryan.
