Nice Day To Go To The Club Returns In 2026

Following two consecutive years of sold-out events, regional South Australian music festival Nice Day To The Club is set to return in 2026 on Saturday February 28 with its most stacked lineup to date. Run by local label Daybed Records – whose roster includes Ethanol Blend, Kurralta Park, The 745 and more – the festival is label founders Tom Redden and Jack Stokes’ continued effort and dedication to channelling a rich South Australian live music scene that thrived in the ’90s.

Again taking place at Port Noarlunga Football Club – which saw over 2,500 punters through the gates in 2025 – the 2026 festival will be led by indie rock favourites Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, who are returning for their first shows in over two years. Joining Rolling Blackouts will be US punk outfit The Bronx, UK rock duo Lambrini Girls – both exclusive to South Australia – and a slew of homegrown household names like Floodlights, Full Flower Moon Band, Cosmic Psychos and iconic Port Noarlunga hardcore punk act Hot Tomatoes, who are reuniting especially for the festival.

Continuing to build on the authentic foundations of the festival, co-organiser Jack explains: “The Adelaide music scene is a tight-knit little family. Over the years we’ve made so many great friends here in SA playing in and putting on shows. Nice Day To Go To The Club is our way of connecting the dots and bringing people together to support the arts and hopefully in turn inspire other people to do the same.”

Co-organiser Tom continues: “It is hard to fathom where the festival has gotten to in such a short space of time. I look at the lineup every year and continually think, ‘what the f*^k! How did that happen?’. We’ve had countless friends and people we’ve met from our community help out with the festival every single year to make it happen. It’s a really nice feeling.”

Located 30 km south of Adelaide, the now two-year-running festival began as a phone call from media personality Ryan “Fitzy” Fitzgerald to Tom and Jack after he heard they were planning to reinvigorate the Port Noarlunga music scene. Originally organised as a means to raise much-needed funds for their local football club (Port Noarlunga FC) and bring people together, Nice Day To Go To The Club turned into a sold-out 1,500-person event, with 15 bands including Cosmic Psychos and Mini Skirt performing across two stages. In its short lifespan, the festival has grown into something more than Fitzy, Jack or Tom could have imagined.

Staying true to its grassroots and DIY ethos, the festival has sold out every year, yet still embodies the feeling of going down to your local football oval and watching your favourite bands play on the back of a truck. No bells and whistles – just the best live music at an affordable price.
