Dom Mariani’s New Solo Album ‘Apple Of Life’ Is Out Now
Revered Australian guitar-pop craftsman Dom Mariani makes a triumphant return with Apple of Life, his long-awaited second solo album, released today via Alive Naturalsound Records.
Recorded in Fremantle, Western Australia, Apple of Life is a rich collection of hook-heavy, guitar-driven gems that reaffirm Mariani’s place at the top of the melodic rock pantheon.
Known for his pioneering work with The Stems, DM3, and The Someloves, Mariani’s new solo outing distills decades of songwriting mastery into a sparkling set of tracks that feel both timeless and fresh.
Singles Apple of Life, Jangleland, World On Its Head, and the latest Breaking Point, are a standout example of Mariani’s signature sound—jangle-pop finesse wrapped in razor-sharp guitar lines and infectious vocal harmonies.
Says Dom, “For the most part of my musical career, I’ve been obsessed with melody; Irresistible hooks and phrases and propelled them forward with high-energy rock and roll guitar riffs. Then, it’s about arranging and layering those riffs, weaving in vocal harmonies, and using a few tricks of the trade to fashion a song like ‘World on Its Head’…and you’ll have my ‘pop-sided guitar’ alter ego in full flight.”
With a career that spans over four decades and a reputation as one of Australia’s most influential guitar-pop songwriters, Apple of Life finds Mariani in peak form.
