Fletcher Kent Releases New Single ‘Blindspot’
After a year of career-defining milestones and mounting critical acclaim, rising Australian alt-pop artist Fletcher Kent today unveils his most personal release yet – Blindspot, a stirring and cinematic duet featuring the unmistakable vocals of his fiancée, Lil.
On the new single, “We had planned on releasing a different song next, but since getting engaged it felt right to put out this one with Lil singing on it. If you love someone, don’t let them go. That’s really what ‘Blindspot’ is about – the desire to communicate openly through changes in a relationship. The importance of love and true passion – if you’re lucky enough to find it, cherish it and make it last. I’m very privileged to have my fiancée sing beautifully on this track with me.”
The single lands as Fletcher prepares for one of the biggest milestones of his career, supporting global superstar Lewis Capaldi on his sold-out Australian arena tour this December
Fletcher comments on the tour, “Getting the call to support Lewis’ tour was a real dream come true. I saw him live at Splendour as a teenager before his ‘Someone You Loved’ had come out, and got to witness how truly unbelievable he was. I’m very grateful he’s connected with my music and for the opportunity to tour arenas – that’s everything I want to do in music.”
That rise has been steadily building over the past year. Kent’s previous single Wasted earned coveted placements across Spotify’s Pop’N’Fresh and Apple Music’s global New In Alternative and New In Rock playlists, while his month-long residency at Old Mates Pub in New York became a word-of-mouth success – the launch show for ‘Wasted’ packed out the venue and earned him an extended invitation.
Back home, he’s taken the stage at Live Nation’s Ones To Watch showcase, performed a VIP pre-show for Green Day at Marvel Stadium, and secured a fan-voted slot at Rolling Sets Festival, sharing the bill with Lime Cordiale and The Wombats.
Kent’s growing profile has also been bolstered by consistent media support, with features across Rolling Stone AUS In My Room, Ones To Watch, The Music (where he penned the op-ed How Music Heals: A Powerful Lifeline for Youth & Mental Health Wellbeing), Scenestr, Life Without Andy (Artist of the Week), The Partae, Milky, and Aus Music Scene, affirming his status as one of Australia’s most exciting emerging artists.

On tour with Lewis Capaldi, tickets from Secret Sounds…
