Phantastic Ferniture Return With A Double Single Release ‘Change My Mind’ & ‘Dare To Fall In Love’
Phantastic Ferniture are back with their jubilant garage pop, releasing not one but two singles, Change My Mind and Dare to Fall in Love – their very first recordings since their critically acclaimed 2018 debut album.
Recorded at Golden Retriever Studios in Sydney, produced by Phan Fern themselves, and mixed and mastered by previous collaborators Tim Carr and Andrew Edgson respectively, tracks Change My Mind and Dare to Fall in Love immediately evoke everything about this band we have come to know and love.
Jacklin’s ability to write a catchy yet effortlessly cool vocal hook is evident on first listen, but it’s the magic that Phantastic Ferniture create together that really brings the songs home. Written on their last sold-out national tour of Australia earlier this year, Phantastic Ferniture will be taking these tracks on the road again in December at their famous Christmas Extravaganza’s in Australia, and at further shows throughout New Zealand.
Fronted by Julia Jacklin, the band is comprised of old friends, namely fellow songwriter Liz Hughes and drummer/producer Ryan K Brennan. Their mission statement: don’t overthink it.
