Justice For The Damned Return After Nearly Four Years With New Single “The Current”

The wait is over for Justice For The Damned fans as the band announce their long-awaited return with blistering new single The Current, out now via Greyscale Records. The band double down with news of an Australian headline tour presented by beastmode taking place this March, tickets on sale now!

The Sydney metal heavyweights offer up their first taste of new music in nearly four years with The Current. At its heart, it’s a song about resilience, the endurance of life’s struggles and reflects on the band’s past few years and the challenges some members have faced. “The Current is a signpost for the direction Justice has stepped toward since ‘Pain Is Power’. To us, a statement of resilience feels like the best way to reintroduce Justice to the world and that’s what this song is ultimately.”

While new music may not have been on the horizon, Justice For The Damned never slowed down on the touring front. Over almost eight years of relentless touring, the band has honed its live performance to connect with the most intense crowds around the world. The bands new music is influenced heavily from their time on the road – from the incredible artists they’ve shared stages with to the energy of the people they’ve played shows for. “Musically, we’re leaning further into a metalcore-mosh sound, paying homage to our early days in Western Sydney. We’re not reinventing the wheel, but we’re making sure it rolls smoother and heavier.”

Following the new single, Justice For The Damned will be returning to the Australian touring circuit this March as they headline across their home country, joined by Melbourne hardcore group Threshold. The tour will visit Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, Newcastle, Sydney and Lalor Park for an All Ages finale. The band were also recently announced to join Make Them Suffer in June and July on a regional Australian run – tickets on sale now via Destroy All Lines. Since 2023, the majority of the band’s schedule has been filled with tours across the USA and through Europe, and the band can’t wait to bring their sharpened show back to home soil.

The Current is the first taste of new music since their critically acclaimed 2020 album Pain Is Power cracked the ARIA Top 20 and skyrocketed the band across the globe. In recent times they’ve shared stages with the likes of Chamber (us), Kublai Khan (us), Harms Way (us), Malevolence (uk), Left To Suffer (us), Thy Art Is Murder and have ticked off multiple sold out headline sets – proving why they’ve grown to be one of Australia’s most revered metal bands.

The Current is out now via Greyscale Records, streaming everywhere.
