Dean Lewis Announces Global Tour & New Album ‘The Epilogue’
International superstar, Dean Lewis is thrilled to announce his hotly anticipated third studio album The Epilogue will be released Friday October 18 accompanied by a global album tour – The Epilogue World Tour – kicking off in Australia in October then hitting cities worldwide.
The Australian leg of The Epilogue World Tour begins in Newcastle on October 30, then will stop in Brisbane, Sydney, Hobart, Melbourne and Adelaide before finishing in Perth on November 23.
In announcing The Epilogue news, Lewis said, “Reaching this level in my career is beyond anything I ever imagined. It’s been my dream all along to perform at venues like these. It’s hard to believe that I started out playing to 100 people in tiny venues, and now I’m headlining places like Rod Laver Arena, Wembley, Ziggo Dome and the Royal Arena. This truly feels like a dream come true. I can’t wait for my fans around the world to experience my biggest and best shows yet.”
Following unprecedented worldwide success, critical acclaim, and sold-out tours, including a Wembley Arena in London and a Ziggo Dome in The Netherlands, Dean has just returned to Australia and continues to write and perform with unmatched vulnerability, vibrancy, and vitality.
As such, The Epilogue, represents both the culmination of an incredible journey thus far and a harbinger for where he may go next.
In between a packed live schedule, Dean penned music for The Epilogue during sessions in a Hollywood Hills house and in Hawaii. Harnessing a renewed state of inspiration, the troubadour tapped into the spirit of his earliest material from a fresh perspective honed by six more years of experience.
“My first album had a level of rawness,” Lewis observes. “For the second, I was a little more cautious and pop-oriented, but the songs were meaningful to me. On this record, I started to get rawer and more acoustic again. I was trying to rekindle the simplicity of why things worked. I knew what I wanted to hear, so I embraced what made the first one special.”
Available to pre-order and pre-save today, the 12-track The Epilogue LP includes previous singles Trust Me Mate and Memories as well as the recently released single All I Ever Wanted. The heartbreaking All I Ever Wanted, was written and recorded in Los Angeles and co-produced by Dean and acclaimed duo Afterhrs (Maroon 5, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson). Since its release a fortnight ago, the song has already been added to KIIS, Hit Network (Fox, B105, SAFM) and Nova Networks as well as streamed over 3 million times globally.
The official music video is shot in the stunning Bonneville Salt Flats, Utah by his brother and long-time visual collaborator, Sean Loaney.
