3Twenty Tour With Xzibit, Obie Trice, And D12 Announce Adelaide Show

Two decades ago, in what was undeniably a formative period for modern Hip-Hop, three of the biggest names in Rap – Xzibit, D12 and Obie Trice – all released their most beloved albums.

Now the trio are celebrating their joint 3:Twenty 20th anniversary by announcing an additional show in Adelaide, joining the briskly-selling shows already announced in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Xzibit’s Man vs. Machine, D12’s iconic D12 World and Obie Trice’s Cheers, are all celebrating 20 years of musical influence in and there’s no doubt that each of these acts will bring their A-games when they arrive down under in June.

The run of Australian shows will kick off at Adelaide’s Hindley Street Music Hall on June 20, then Eatons Hill in Brisbane on June 21, before hitting Melbourne’s Forum Theatre on June 23 and Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on June 25.

Alvin Nathaniel Joiner, better known by his stage name Xzibit, was picked up by Dr Dre as a rising Rap prodigy in the early noughties. Dre went on to executive produce Xzibit’s top-charting 2004 record, Man vs. Machine, his most successful album that debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 and still exists today as a gold standard of modern Hip-Hop. Xzibit has since continued his international fame through other highly successful ventures, such as hosting MTV’s iconic Pimp My Ride and Cribs and acting in TV as per CSI: Miami, Hawaii Five-O and many more.

You’ll definitely know the name of this band – D12, an initialism for The Dirty Dozen, is an American hip hop group from Detroit who have had chart-topping albums worldwide since their conception in 1996. The group released the now multi-platinum D12 World in 2004, spawning numerous hit singles like Git Up, My Band, and How Come. With past members including former frontman Eminem, the now stripped-back group packs a mean punch in their live set.

Obie Trice (real name, no gimmicks) spent the early years of his global career signed to Eminem’s label Shady Records, where he wrote and recorded his debut record, Cheers, that topped charts worldwide. Now certified multi-platinum, Cheers boasts possibly the most impressive features lineup on a debut record, with spots from Eminem, Nate Dogg, Timbaland, Lloyd Banks, 50 Cent, Dr. Dre,

D12 and Busta Rhymes. Obie Trice’s legacy lives on today through his own record label, Black Market Entertainment, on which he’s produced his latest three studio albums.
