THE PRODIGY Announce 25th Anniversary Edition of ‘The Fat of The Land Remix Vinyl’
Continuing the celebrations around the 25th anniversary of The Prodigy’s game-changing third studio album The Fat Of The Land, XL Recordings today announce a stacked new remix package. Available on 28th July on special edition silver 12” vinyl and digital, The Fat Of The Land 25th Anniversary – Remixes will feature exclusive new remixes from Mefjus and Camo & Krooked, Gydra and René LaVice alongside Andy C’s iconic ‘Firestarter’ remix from last year.
To mark the news, dj/producer Rene LaVice – well known for his years hosting BBC Radio 1’s Drum and Bass show – has remixed Mindfields which is released today.
Following its 1997 release, The Fat of the Land became a global phenomenon, debuting at number one on album charts around the world and going on to sell over 10 million copies. The first single to be released from the album was the incendiary Firestarter which saw Keef Flint take centre stage on vocals for the first time. It was released alongside the groundbreaking video shot deep under the streets of London, directed by Walter Stern. Stern’s video was recently remastered and is now available officially in HD for the very first time.
