Great Gable Announce Headline Tour For This October Through November
Following a whirlwind national tour supporting Matt Corby last month, West Australian favourites Great Gable have announced a headline Australian tour for this October – November. The five-date run will see them kicking off in Fremantle, before hitting up Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide. Tickets are on sale now HERE.
“Our new EP “Read The Room” is out now, and to celebrate we thought we’d revisit some of our favourite venues across Australia. Some of our funnest shows have been in these intimate pubs and we can’t wait for a trip down memory lane.” Says the band.
The tour comes in support of the release of their new EP Read The Room which sees the Perth four-piece collaborating with Matt Corby and Alex Henriksson, and features five dreamy, jangly indie rock anthems that is a return to the carefree sound of their early years.
With a pared back sonic palette, Read The Room bottles the lightning of what makes Great Gable such an electric musical presence. On the bouncing and wry Pumpernickel, they channel early 2000s Brit rock. While So Cool gives a hat-tip to The Strokes, and Til The Sun Comes Up offers a moment of pause sonically and lyrically.
