The Terry’s Release New Single ‘Hopscotch’
Australia’s favourite surf-rockers, The Terrys, have just released their first single for the year, Hopscotch. The instantly infectious cut falls amongst a mammoth 32 date national tour in support of The Terrys debut album True Colour which recently peaked at #3 in the ARIA Aus Album Charts. In celebration of the single, the tour, the record, and just how god damn good life is, The Terrys have also teamed up with Melbourne homies Billy Bones Club for a very limited Hopscotch tee.
Hopscotch has been stuck in the heads of extraTERRYestrials for a few weeks now as the song was originally sent to fans as a thank you for all the recent support. When recording what we’re blessed to listen to today, The Terrys intention was simply to pump something out very quickly (in half a day) as a thank you secret track to their die-hards. But when the band listened back on what they had just made, they knew this song was too good to be kept a secret. Hopscotch carries a message of self-belief and not letting others dictate what is (and isn’t) possible in life. As vocalist Finchy puts it, “Hopscotch is about doing what you want and not letting other people tell you that your dreams aren’t possible. Conceive, believe, achieve.”
