Kaiser Chiefs Return With Bold & Bright New Single ‘Jealousy’

Almost two decades in the game, and armed with an extensive back-catalogue of stadium belters, and record-breaking success, Kaiser Chiefs continue their triumphant return with insatiable new single Jealousy. The track arrives as another exciting taster of their forthcoming new album.

Having previously charted in multiple Hottest 100 countdowns, featured on Like A Version and appearing at Australian festivals like Splendour In The Grass and Falls Festival, Kaiser Chiefs new single Jealousy is a blood-pumping follow up to How 2 Dance, which introduced the band’s new direction to the world.

“We’ve spent the last 20 years making tunes, some have been hits, some have been the opposite of hits… We’ve always loved ‘em though,” explains Ricky Wilson.

“It came as a pleasant surprise when ‘How 2 Dance’ seemed to be everywhere. Even on Love Island, which I view as a personal triumph.”

Where Duck straddled the tide between Northern-Soul euphoria and early ‘00s antithesis, 2022 saw Kaiser Chiefs stepping into a renewed spotlight; a hook-heightened universe in which Ricky Wilson, Andrew “Whitey” White (guitar), Simon Rix (bass), Keyboardist Peanut and Vijay Mistry on drums, come together to once again create what they craft best; breakthrough belters for the world’s dancefloor.

Produced by Amir Amor (Rudimental), and Lewis Thompson (Becky Hill, Joel Corry), and written by the band along with Lewis Thompson, Henry Tucker (Anne Marie, Aitch), and RISC (Cat Burns, Mimi Webb), Jealousy is a joyous punch in the gut. Bold and bright, with an explosive chorus, it’s a statement of intent from a band that continues to deliver the goods again and again.

“As a musician, once all the worry and fear of failure is removed, all that is left is the freedom and fun. It’s the reason we started, so I must give you a warning, once you have heard ‘Jealousy’, you won’t be able to get it out of your head!”

Along with the new single, Kaiser Chiefs are set to hit up a slew of festivals and headline shows across the UK and Europe from May – August this year.
