The Empty Threats Announce Headline Australia Tour

Kaurna Land/Adelaide, South Australia five-piece queer post-punk group The Empty Threats announce their biggest Australian headline tour yet, hitting stages across the east coast of the country throughout April and May, 2023. The news arrives ahead of the group’s new single Evil Eye, to be released on Wednesday, April 19 via P.A.K. Records.
The Empty Threats will kick off their national run of shows at Lion Arts Factory in Kaurna Land/Adelaide on April 28, followed by stops at La La La’s in Dharawal/Wollongong, Bootleggers in Eora/Sydney, The Cambridge Hotel in Mulunbinba/Newcastle, The Workers Club in Naarm/Melbourne, Bangalow Bowling Club in Bundjalung/Bangalow and Elsewhere in Yugambeh/Gold Coast, before wrapping up the tour at Black Bear Lodge in Meanjin/Brisbane on May 21.
Blending modern post-punk with ‘80s Australiana, and renowned for their energetic live performances, The Empty Threats have shared stages with Methel Ethyl, Mildlife, Teen Jesus & the Jean Teasers, Jimmy Barnes and ICEHOUSE, plus scored slots at festivals including Mountain Goat Valley Crawl and WOMADelaide. Recent singles ATACB and Boys in the Gutter have scored plays on triple j, Unearthed, FBi Radio, 4ZZZ, RTR, Triple R and PBS, with praise from Pilerats, Happy Magazine, City Mag, AAA Backstage and AIR among others.
