Introducing HEAPS GOOD, a new one day festival in the heart of Adelaide featuring a selection of the best international and local talent from the Falls line-up, all ready to keep the new year celebrations rolling on Friday 6 January at the oh-so-convenient city location of Adelaide Showground.
HEAPS GOOD will take place across two carefully programmed stages, including a warehouse style area designed especially for the ultimate electronic music experience. Easily one of the UK’s most successful bands to emerge in recent times, Arctic Monkeys will have you looking good on the dancefloor when they headline HEAPS GOOD, boasting their iconic discography which has been streamed a staggering 9 billion times. Move your body to the playful rhythms and irresistible melodies of DJ, producer and club culture icon Peggy Gou when she closes the warehouse stage. Be sure to catch the impressive live set from critically acclaimed Scottish standouts CHVRCHES as they hit Adelaide with new music from their 2021 album Screen Violence under their belt, and prepare to dance when forward-thinking beatmaker Jamie xx takes over HEAPS GOOD with his hugely influential sound, Grammy nominated tracks and new festival ready anthem, ‘LET’S DO IT AGAIN’.
These international legends will be joined by local stars Ocean Alley with their infectious melodies and memorable blend of psychedelic-surf-rock that has secured their position as one of the country’s leading acts, as well as Fremantle fourpiece Spacey Jane hot off the back of their hugely anticipated new album Here Comes Everybody that drops in June. Yet another artist with the world at their feet is UK viral sensation PinkPantheress who will also hit HEAPS GOOD with her irresistibly catchy earworms and incredible musical talent in tow.
The fun doesn’t end there as Brisbane charmer Young Franco brings his sunny stage persona, epic jam selections and fantastic original productions to HEAPS GOOD, that’s as five-piece King Stingray blow the crowd away with their Yolŋu surf-rock: a unique sound of their own which seamlessly blends ancient indigenous melodies with surf, indie and funk influences. Social media queen and rising popstar Peach PRC is also along for the ride, showcasing her raw lyricism, carefully cultivated style and pop that shimmers just as much as it singes, while renowned tastemaker Ebony Boadu will also grace the stage, the in-demand DJ delivering yet another one of her dynamic sets for HEAPS GOOD!
