Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker Joins The Wiggles To Play ‘Elephant’
It was a full house at Perth’s RAC Arena that enjoyed a rare treat – acclaimed artist Kevin Parker of Tame Impala fame jumping up on stage with The Wiggles!
It was the first time three Blue Wiggles had ever been on stage as Parker performed the Tame Impala (and now Wiggles!) hit Elephant, the song that took The Wiggles to the top spot on triple j’s Hottest 100 earlier this year. He then leant his considerable talents to the iconic Wiggles anthem, Hot Potato.
Kevin Parker said today, “When I got the invitation I knew it was a once-in-a-life time opportunity so it was an obvious yes. The Wiggles are the real rockstars in this world. I was pretty nervous!”
This year, The Wiggles have enjoyed considerable chart-topping success with their stellar cover of Tame Impala’s Elephant reaching #1 on triple j’s Hottest 100, and the album ReWiggled earning the band their first-ever ARIA #1 album!
The Wiggles’ national tour continues to roll on with shows in Sydney, Brisbane, and Adelaide.
