Waax Announce ‘Dangerous Tour’ Of Australia

Australia’s fiercest live act, WAAX, announce they’ll be returning to the road this April for the DANGEROUS TOUR.
The DANGEROUS TOUR will be the Brisbane rock outfit’s first time on the road in over two years, and will be many fans first opportunity to hear their most recent single MOST HATED GIRL live for the very first time, as well as brand-new tunes from their forthcoming 2022 album.
The tour will kick off in Melbourne at the Corner Hotel on Thursday April 14, before winding its way through Victoria, Queensland, Tasmania, South Australia, the ACT, before finishing once again in their home, sunshine state.
Speaking about the tour, WAAX says, “We’re so excited to announce the DANGEROUS TOUR this April/May! After two years of cancelled shows, we are beyond ready to tour ALL OF AUSTRALIA and reconnect with you beautiful people. We can’t think of a better way to thank you for supporting us through the tough times by playing shows for you in some of our favourite venues around the country. Maybe test out some new music for you…? ¯_(ツ)_/¯We love you and can’t wait to see you.”
Spearheaded by the ferocious Maz Devita, WAAX has risen to become one of Australia’s most-loved rock outfits, thanks to an ever-growing arsenal of classic songs, including Most Hated Girl, Labrador, Same Same and Wild & Weak.
Most Hated Girl is the first single from a LP scheduled for later 2022, that once again saw WAAX pair with the dynamic and legendary team of Bernard Fanning and Nick DiDia, who also produced their debut album, Big Grief.
“It’s been really nice and homely feeling returning to the studio with them because we worked with them on the last record obviously, so it’s kind of like just getting back in the shed with Dad. We have a really good bond with them, and they understand us and I’m not as nervous. Bernie and Nick have just watched us kind of graduate into the next level of making this record and it’s been really nice.”
