Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever national ‘Sideways To New Italy’ Tour Rescheduled To 2022

Frontier Touring wishes to advise that due to the uncertainty around border closures and current COVID restrictions across Australia, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever’s upcoming Sideways To New Italy Australian Tour is rescheduled to February-March 2022. The eight-date tour run will see the group perform for audiences in Adelaide, Hobart, Brisbane, Fremantle, Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra.

Friends, there is finally some light at the end of the tunnel, so we are moving these shows one more time. It’s looking like we can go ahead with rooms full of bodies, as it should be. All existing ticketholders need not take action: original purchases are valid for entry at the rescheduled show dates and fans are encouraged to #KeepYourTicket and attend the February/March 2022 shows. Ticketholders will be contacted directly via their show’s authorised ticketing agency regarding these date changes. Patrons unable to attend new show dates may obtain a full refund. Refund requests must be submitted prior to Tuesday 16 November 2021.

2020 saw the release of their internationally acclaimed second album Sideways to New Italy. The album debuted at #4 on the ARIA Album Chart, #1 on the ARIA Australian Album Chart, #1 on the ARIA Vinyl Album Chart and #2 on the ARIA Physical Album Chart, and features fan favourites Cars In Space, She’s There, Falling Thunder and Cameo.

Following in the footsteps of their breakthrough debut album Hope Downs in 2018, Sideways To New Italy garnered praise by critics across the world, locally receiving a 4.5 star review from Sydney Morning Herald and 4 star reviews from The Guardian, Rolling Stone Australia, Q Magazine, The Music and NME Australia who declared that ‘…lyrically, Rolling Blackouts C.F have gone high-concept.’ Internationally, the album was crowned Rough Trade’s Album of the Month, a 5 star review from Upset, 9/10 in Uncut and 4 star reviews across The Guardian, NME, Q, Dork & more. The band rounded out the year with multiple ‘best of 2020’ entries and were nominated for awards including the AMP (Australian Music Prize), Music Victoria Awards (Best Album & Best Group) & Double J Artist of the Year.
