Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s Director’s Choice award winner, and Have You Been Paying Attention?! regular, the hilariously talented Melanie Bracewell has announced she will be hitting the road with her The Rumours Are True tour this September and October!
Melanie will Perform at Perth’s Astor Theatre on September 30, Adelaide’s Space Theatre on October 3, Sydney’s York Theatre on October 9 and conclude at Melbourne’s Athenaeum Theatre on October 11.

At just 25 years old, Melanie Bracewell is taking the comedy world by storm.
Melanie won the prestigious “Best Newcomer” award for her first solo show in the NZ International Comedy Festival. With goofy observations and natural stage charisma, Melanie is a master of anecdotes. In 2018, Melanie won the famed “Billy T Award” and is now a regular on Have you Been Paying Attention? in Australia and New Zealand. In 2019 Melanie performed as part of the invite only Just For Laughs Comedy Festival at the Sydney Opera House.
When she’s not on stage, Melanie is a social media powerhouse. Whether it’s through her popular humour blog with over 250,000 followers, meladoodle.tumblr.com, or desperately trying to get her jokes down to 140 characters for her slightly less popular Twitter profile, @meladoodle. Melanie’s tweets have been featured on BuzzFeed, Playboy (the funny parts not the nude parts) and the New York Times.
Melanie writes for the hit mockumentary ‘Wellington Paranormal’ and works as a full-time comedy writer for TVNZ.
