The Rubens Release Live Video For New Single ‘Masterpiece’

The Rubens have released the live video for their brand new single Masterpiece, captured at their bunker studio in Camden, NSW.

“The bunker is where we recorded most of 0202 and seeing as we can’t go out into the world, it seems only right to invite ya’ll inside to hear us play our new one live. Bring beer, wipe your feet. x” – The Rubens

Masterpiece – the album opener from the band’s forthcoming fourth record, 0202 – is a song about retrospectively realising you lost The One (“know I got it wrong, really all along, you were just a masterpiece”). Matching the same slick sonic palette as their single Live In Life, Masterpiece is an irresistible dance across alt-rock, rnb, pop and hip hop genres, colliding into a sound that’s now uniquely their own.

Cementing their status as a band that continues to evolve as songwriters and push the boundaries of alternative rock/pop, the band’s fourth album 0202 – also featuring singles Live In Life (nominated for ARIA Song of the Year), Heavy Weather & current single Time Of My Life – is an exciting new chapter for The Rubens and a celebration of the five-piece at their creative peak.
