MACABRE Release Visually Disturbing Music Video For The Wheels On The Bug + Carnival Of Killers Out Now!’
Chicago legends of Murder Metal/Death Metal are proud to release their demented, heinous bloodbath of an album, Carnival Of Killers. In the usual Macabre fashion and staying true to their name, they offer fans the perfect road trip sing-a-long coupled with a visually disturbing video for the single The Wheels On The Bug which chronicles the Ted Bundy murder spree.
MACABRE’s Corporate Death comments, “In our music, we tell true stories about different killers and you will gather information from our songs. It is like reading a newspaper article about these people but we tell stories via our music. I like to call it creative story telling about very bad people.
My mother used to buy me children’s records, from an early age, she saw that I liked to sing along. ‘The Wheels On The Bug’ is based on a song from a record my mother bought for me when I was young. I used to sing that song on the school bus. It must have stuck with me, as all these years later I’m still singing it, only we changed it up and made it more MACABRE.”
Canadian metal upstarts ARRIVAL OF AUTUMN have released the digital single for their cover of OZZY OSBOURNE’s Bark At The Moon.
ARRIVAL OF AUTUMN comments, “Ozzy is an influence to all of us and it’s important to pay your respect and appreciate people while they are still here with us. He’s the prince of darkness, he’s earned it! We are stoked to share our take on this classic banger.”
Rising New England death metal agitators FUMING MOUTH have officially joined Nuclear Blast and will release a new EP titled Beyond The Tomb on November 20th. The band has launched a pre-order for the record and debuted crushing new song, Master of Extremity. The EP follows the band’s critically lauded, breakout album The Grand Descent, which Stereogum affectionately called a “positively disgusting record, an ugly and cathartic full-length rage-vent,” with Brooklyn Vegan stating it was “one of the finest debuts of its kind in recent memory.”
Commenting on their signing to Nuclear Blast, vocalist/guitarist Mark Whelan states:
“The first time I spoke to Monte Conner at Nuclear Blast it clicked. We had finally found someone with the same exact goals as us. They’re a label that strives to see their bands at their best and we’re a band that thrives off that energy. WE HAVE SIGNED TO NUCLEAR BLAST RECORDS, and I want to scream it in your face until you hear me.”
Sweden’s Symphonic Metal pioneers THERION are proud to unleash the first single and title track from their upcoming 17th studio album Leviathan which is set to be released on 22 January 2021 on NUCLEAR BLAST.
Balancing ominous atmosphere and powerful, seducing chants, Leviathan succeeds in virtually conjuring the mythical sea creature the song has borrowed its name from.
The kindred of Yorkshire raise the curtains: Their new MLP Macabre Cabaret, following the band’s highly acclaimed album The Ghost Of Orion (March 6th) is out NOW!
Singer Aaron Stainthorpe states:
“The latest offering from Yorkshires finest merchants of misery features new music composed in the style the band have made their own over three decades which continues their relevance within the scene today. Macabre Cabaret is as menacing and brooding as it is beautiful and melancholic with crushing guitar riffs sailing side by side with emotive piano pieces and vocals to suit all flavours. The stunning artwork captures the image of the band perfectly offering a visual interpretation of the aural devastation that is My Dying Bride.”
Extreme metal practitioners SCOUR unleashes new single Propaganda. The vicious track comes by way of the band’s long-anticipated The Black EP, is out now.
SCOUR – featuring Philip H. Anselmo (Pantera, Down, En Minor, et al), John Jarvis (Agoraphobic Nosebleed), Derek Engemann (Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals), Mark Kloeppel (Misery Index), and Adam Jarvis (Pig Destroyer, Lock Up) — made their debut with their ferocious first single Dispatched. The Grey EP, released via Anselmo’s own Housecore Records, dropped in 2016, followed by The Red EP in 2017. Faster, tighter, and more relentless than ever before, this year’s The Black serves as the final release of the EP trilogy and is inarguably the band’s most savage effort to date.
Comments Anselmo of the latest track available for public feasting, “We’ve all been inundated with propaganda over our entire lifetimes. The modern day is no different, and this song drives the point home. If I were to take a song like ‘5 Minutes Alone’ and cut it with clips of Steve Martin and Cheech $ Chong, it would make about as much sense as the SCOUR ‘Propaganda’ video. A couple all time favorites, Boris Karloff and Vincent Price, can be seen in clips from some of some notable horror films.”
Adds Engemann, “Our second offering from The Black EP, ‘Propaganda’ delivers an unapologetic beating of the senses.”
