When Frames Collide is a term often used to describe the competing, clashing or contradictory framing of events.

It is also the name of a short lived Melbourne rock band featuring Andy from Horsehead on vocals who graced the stages of a number of intimate venues in 2019, playing to adoring crowds before disappearing to record, never to be seen or heard of again …until now.

Heroes, the second single from their EP Quattro, will be released on 12th October and it is a superbly crafted rock track that deserves to be heard! It combines the best of classic Australian rock influences with a strong British rock vibe. This hidden gem now gets a chance to see the light of day and damn, it’s good.

Quattro, the one & only EP from When Frames Collide, will be released later this year containing four glorious, 70’s infused musical nuggets for you to enjoy forever more.

Ghosts of Sunset features rock veterans John Merchant and Todd Long who have made music for 30+ years for 615 Records Nashville, IDOL/RCA records, and independently.

Never Goodbye to be released on 12th October via Golden Robot Records is the follow up to the recently released single Miles In Between is another 80’s inspired Hollywood hair metal styled gem.

The track features John Merchant (Vocals), Todd Long (Guitar), Tracii Guns (L.A. Guns – Lead Guitar), Bruno Ravel (Danger Danger – Bass), Adam Hamilton (ex-Tuff – Drums) , Brian Roth (Keyboards) and Patrick Kennison (Lita Ford – Harmony Vocals).

“What do you do when your shelf life is up and the writing is on the wall? You have to go back to your roots and find your true self! You just say goodnight, never goodbye!” – Todd Long

Sin City is latest single from Las Vegas based punk-rock outfit Gob Patrol and will be released on 5th October via Riot Records. The follow-up to recent single Anarchy, Sin City continues Gob Patrol’s reputation for thunderous guitar and drum tones, and high-energy vocals. This is as punk as it gets!

Gob Patrol are heavily inspired by the legendary 80’s US Punk scene highlighted by acts such as Black Flag, GBH, Minor Threat and The Germs and both singles fall directly under the influence of the aforementioned acts. they are angsty, rebellious, chaotic and 100% pure old school punk rock.

Harking from Manchester, UK, Golden Robot Records is proud to introduce it’s latest signing, Scuttlers. Scuttlers join fellow countrymen (The Crooks, Naipia, HAiG and Dirty Laces) on the roster as GRR continues to bring you the best British rock acts.

Their new single Sun’s Gone In On Me, is a highly infectious tune that is sweetly produced and riddled with memorable hooks, a huge chorus and a catchy back-beat that meshes beautifully with gently distorted guitar riffs. Scuttlers have a unique twist in their sound that sets them apart from many of their contemporaries. This is brit-rock at it’s absolute best.

Melbourne, Australia’s The Mercy Kills are back, with the release of their new EP X, a remastered collection of band favourites, out now via Golden Robot Records.

“X is a celebration of ten years together as The Mercy Kills. This EP is like a live set of our favourite tracks, as if we were blastin’ out a killer 30-minute show. These seven songs have been selected from five different releases, over the last decade.’” The Mercy Kills

The seven songs that appear on X, were painstakingly hand-picked by The Mercy Kills. After many squabbles and fights over which songs would make the cut, the band settled on the best seven songs that deliver a strong representation of their releases to date. They enjoy new life with slick remastering that adds a new dimension to them.

Sydney-based hardcore punk band KIDS OF SKIDS recently released their debut single and subsequent video Army Store via Riot Records. Now they are set to drop their second single Trapped on October 19th. Trapped is about being Trapped in Iso during fu**ing Corona. Not being able to play gigs because they’re all cancelled. Live streaming is the new norm in a world that’s gone mad. This is a punk as it gets folks.

Army Store is exactly what it sounds like, a song about the band’s favourite store. This short but energetic single is a perfect example of KIDS OF SKIDS versatility and impressive ability to fit a lot of punk into a short song.

Cousin Betty is the brainchild of Damien Stofka a guitarist/songwriter, who has created riffs and written songs for Molten Universe, Death Mattel, LITTER and various other projects for the last 15 years. Drone, which is out now via Golden Robot Records, is the debut single from the upcoming EP Left. Drone is a meaty slab of distorted, psychedelic, influenced indie desert rock.

“Damien played me a riff he’d been working on; it was immediately infectious, but I wasn’t in the mood. I was upset about some Facebook “friend” just regurgitating some stuff – obvious garbage they’d heard on in the media and seemingly verbatim. As I scrolled down their page I realised that their politics, faux ideals and very life’s philosophy seemed the be simply illustrated through bad memes; some in direct contradiction to the one prior.

While I’m an advocate of independent thought and am pleased that we don’t all think the same, this hollow person represented to me that type of fool with no fixed opinion about ANYTHING, opposition for the sake of opposition and a seemingly wilful ignorance. Not a problem in itself per se, but this dim prole was also a Dad…a mentor to a developing mind, ensuring further generations of the same. The lyrics spilled out and the entire song, complete with multiple takes and backing vocals was finished in about 40 minutes. On re-listens I think I was pretty harsh but it’s just what I was feeling at the time. This was our first real collaborative effort too. I loved it the second he showed me the opening riff.” – Matt Downey (Vocals)

Dead Dirty Dinosaurs have released their new single and accompanying video, Revenge via Riot Records. Revenge is the follow up to their recently released track Monica. The new single from the Dead Dirty Dinosaurs is all about, you guessed it, Revenge. Well not quite. Hidden beneath all the pent up emotion and dirty, dirty guitars is a real understanding that putting that mess behind you and letting it all go is going to do you a real solid in the long run.

The first listen will let you get worked up over every wrong you’ve felt but never managed to right. But if you listen back you’ll get that, to the DDD’s, not letting the idiots and the rest of the excrement you can’t control get the better of you is what keeps you going and lifts you up and out of the storm below. We’ve all got someone on list from way back when that still gets your goat, but maybe kicking back with the Dead Dirty Dinosaurs cranked to 11 might help you forget about getting Revenge.

Influenced by NYC original punk (Blondie, Ramones, Heartbreakers), 60s girl groups (The Ronettes, The Shangri-Las), with a drop of Lou Reed & The Velvet Underground’s deadpan cool – The Carvels NYC bring sticky tuneful rock and roll with powerful unique vocals, rollicking Thunders-style guitar licks and wailing sax.

The long-awaited full-length album from The Carvels NYC, Live at the Cutting Room is out now via Die Laughing Records! The album was recorded in May 2020 at legendary venue The Cutting Room in NYC with producer Freddie Katz, and mixed/mastered by Jim Diamond (White Stripes, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion).

UK rock trio, SKAM have released the official video clip for their latest single Green Eyes which is out now via X-Ray Records.

Green Eyes is the first single from their forthcoming EP, INTRA which combines the familiar SKAM power with melodic choruses to showcase a significant step forward by the band. The song’s focus is on jealousy and how the grass can look greener on the other side of the fence, but to overcome it, you need to suck it up, swallow it down, and concentrate on your own life.

Hailing from Dayton, Ohio Abertooth Lincoln are an aggressive, spacey hardcore progressive punk band. Their music is heavy, weird, complicated and can flip genres within seconds. But the bottom line is they are unique and refreshing.

Fronted by the charismatic person Edith Coleslaw aka Ashley Pooler, Abertooth Lincoln have droped their debut single for Riot Records, Hell House.

Hell House is exactly that, as you don’t see what’s coming next. It frantically winds from L7 to Dillinger Escape Plan to an almost Mr Bungle-esque frenzy topped with some B52’s weirdness. Check it out.
