Hatchie & The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart Release The Jesus And Mary Chain Cover

In the first release since her internationally acclaimed debut album Keepsake (2019), Hatchie has announced a collaboration with The Pains of Being Pure at Heart for a cover of Sometimes Always, The Jesus and Mary Chain’s collaboration with Mazzy Star’s Hope Sandoval from 1994. The track is out now on all digital services and will be released on 7” in Australia exclusive to indie stores on Friday 19 June. Alongside ‘Sometimes Always’, the release features B-side ‘Adored’, Hatchie’s previously-released 2018 Adult Swim digital single and the only Hatchie track to not exist on vinyl until now.

Of the release, Hatchie’s Harriette Pilbeam says: “it was a dream come true to record this cover of one of my favourite collaborations with one of my favourite artists. I’m so glad it’s finally getting released because it’s extra special to me.”

100% of sales from the limited international release on Bandcamp Day last Friday, June 5 were donated to The Movement for Black Lives and The Loveland Foundation.
