Groovin The Moo 2020 Is Here

It’s time to get egg-cited! Groovin the Moo (GTM) is ready to crack open and run into its six beloved regions around Australia this April and May. With an egg-perience that’s hard to beat, GTM offers a full day of country hospitality, amazing music and seriously good times.

The GTM journey is as inviting as a hot breakfast on a cold morning. With a warm, welcoming focus, the festival strives to connect attendees with the artists, with the local community and with the region itself. Plus, it’s the perfect way to make memories with your old mates, and mates you’re yet to meet.

Speaking of meeting new mates, allow us to introduce you to your GTM2020 touring line up.

Our GTM2020 line up has got something that everyone can connect with – from Aussie legends Gang of Youths, The Cat Empire and The Veronicas to new favourites like Ruby Fields, Kira Puru, WAAX and Manu Crooks.

The recent triple j Hottest 100 proved to be sunny side up for GTM artists including Mallrat (#3 Charlie, #59 Nobody’s Home), breakout success story Tones and I (#4 Dance Monkey, #15 Never Seen The Rain, #26 Johnny Run Away) and Slowly Slowly (#57 Jellyfish) with E^ST, Hayden James, Dope Lemon and San Cisco all claiming spots in the countdown too.

Our international contingent is stacked with artists heading down under, including rappers AJ Tracey (UK), Bhad Bhabie (USA), Maxo Kream (USA), YBN Cordae (USA) and country “trailer trap” sensation Blanco Brown (USA). Singer songwriter Clairo (USA) and DJ/producer Channel Tres (USA) will also grace our backyards.

Some artists with killer back catalogues will hit the stages of GTM, including the recently reformed Supergrass (UK) celebrating 25 years of tunes and Kelis (USA), who will bring her milkshake to the Moo. You’ll also be able to bust moves to Apache (Jump On It) thanks to Sugarhill Gang (USA) and be whipped into a Sandstorm frenzy with Darude (FIN).

And there’ll be plenty more to come! Stay tuned for triple j Unearthed, Fresh Produce and Handpicked artists to be announced, along with our Community program.

Promoter Steve Halpin of Cattleyard said;
“We’re really looking forward to GTM2020. There’s something for everyone with this line up and we can’t wait to open the gates at each show.”

triple j UNEARTHED
Like last year and plenty of years before that, triple j are on the lookout for one artist from each GTM region to add to the 2020 lineup. Past winners include legends like Adrian Eagle, Coda Conduct, SAFIA and West Thebarton and we can’t wait to uncover more gems this year. The competition opens on Monday 17 February and all you need to do is have your best tunes up on the triple j Unearthed website by midnight on Sunday 15 March.

BESSY’S BACK!
Everyone’s favourite bovine is back. Full of facts and sass, Bessy is returning to help you with all things GTM2020. Once more, she’ll be working 24/7 and is your go to for informoootion. Head to GTM’s Facebook Messenger and chat to her by hitting the ‘Get Started’ button.

There’ll be heaps more news coming via our socials including details of how you can get involved with your nearest GTM like our Shoot the Moo and Film the Moo competitions, opening 12PM Wednesday 19 February.
