Shonen Knife Return To Australia With A New Album
Japan’s evergreen sugar-coated punk powerpopsters Shonen Knife return with a new album and another Australian tour.
New album Sweet Candy Power is out now worldwide and long with tours in Europe, Japan, UK and USA… they will then return to Australia as special guests on the REGURGITATOR 25th anniversary tour over OCT/NOV. The tour kicks off in Adelaide and also includes a super special slot on the THE LOST LANDS festival on NOV 3.
Having just completed a European tour playing festivals PRIMAVERA SOUND in Spain and This is not a Love Song in France the reaction to the new tunes “from the audience was very good”. First video DIZZY was premiered on FLOOD MAGAZINE and described as a “hyper-catchy pop-rock confection that takes up residence in a listener’s head after the first sing-along chorus” The video was filmed in one of the band’s favourite hometown punk dives, Fandango in Osaka, Japan, and features choreographed dance moves to emphasise the 70’s pop vibes.
