Neneh Cherry Announces WWWater As Tour Support

After stunning the world with her new album Broken Politics earlier this year, Neneh Cherry has today announced that Belgian-Caribbean songstress WWWATER will join her on her Australian tour(excluding Sydney shows) this January.

With Sydney and Melbourne shows now sold out, there are still limited tickets available for Brisbane, Adelaide and Launceston shows.

Emerging with her confronting track Screen earlier this year, WWWATER (Charlotte Adigery) has achieved critical acclaim for both the single and her hard-hitting live show.

Her minimalist electro is a perfect partner with Neneh Cherry’s latest release Broken Politics. Produced with British electronic legend Four Tet and showing yet another artistic transformation, Cherry holds a mirror up to the world’ showing the beauty and ugliness of modern society touching on issues like gun control, feminism and race.

“I’m very shy about taking on big themes with the airs that I’ve got a solution—who has the f*cking solutions?” says Neneh Cherry. “I like writing from a personal perspective, and the time we live in is so much about finding your own voice. People have been left feeling misheard, misunderstood, and disillusioned. What the f*ck can I do? Maybe politics starts in your bedroom, or your house—a form of activism, and a responsibility. The album is about all of those things: feeling broken, disappointed, and sad, but having perseverance. It’s a fight against the extinction of free thought and spirit.”

Joining Neneh’s appearances at both the Sydney and Mona Foma Festivals will be headline appearances in Melbourne & Adelaide plus her first ever appearance in Brisbane. Don’t miss your opportunity to see one of the world’s most important musical voices.

Tickets for all shows are on sale via feelpresents.com
