Aussie Supergroup Set To Bring The Rain To Rundle Mall

A bunch of good-hearted Aussie music legends are set to come together next Tuesday November 6 to support our farmers by rocking out in Rundle Mall.
Scott Darlow, Sarah McLeod, Adam Brand, Jack Jones and Todd Hunter make up the supergroup Drought Breakers whose cover of Dragon’s Rain was released last month with all proceeds going to Buy a Bale.
The Buy a Bale campaign uses donations to purchase bales of hay for drought stricken regions.
The project, spearheaded by musician Scott Darlow and supported by Triple M has seen a bunch of passionate Aussies band together and the result is a great song for an even better cause.
“We are so excited about playing our first live gig in Sarah Mcleod’s home town, to raise money for our farmers,” Scott Darlow says. “Aussies are renowned for helping their mates, and we can’t wait to turn it up loud and rock out on Melbourne Cup day, lunchtime in Rundle Mall!!”
The Drought Breakers will play the single and other songs live at 12pm at Stevens Place, Rundle Mall on Tuesday November 6 and everyone is encouraged to turn up, dig deep and sing along.
South Australian Premier Steven Marshall welcomes the support for our farmers and has sung the praises of this musical initiative.
“It’s wonderful to see people from all walks of life coming together to support our farmers as they battle one of the most crippling droughts in decades,” Premier Marshall says.
“South Australian regional communities are the backbone of this state and contribute so much to our economic prosperity. We owe it to our farmers and their families to do everything we can to help them during this difficult time.”
The Drought Breakers are grateful for the support of the following organisations and individuals who are making this event happen: Premier Artists, Netgigs, Supersound Productions, HiZ Sound & Lighting, Scott Darlow, Sarah McLeod, Adam Brand, Jack Jones and Todd Hunter, Rundle Mall Management Authority, The South Australian Government, Derringers Hire, Noble Events and Touring and Expressions Media.
Netgigs will be live streaming the event for those who can’t make it. To view Drought Breakers Rundle Mall show in high quality stereo sound, head to: https://www.netgigs.com/videos/upcoming/drought-breakers-rundle-mall/
