Florence + The Machine Australian Tour Dates

Florence + The Machine will return to Australia next January for a string of national headline dates. On her sixth tour of Australia, the vocal powerhouse will take in capital cities across the country, including a fantastic night to remember at Botanic Park in Adelaide on January 16th.

This will be Florence Welch and her band’s first visit to unleash their mesmerising live show on Adelaide audiences since their sold out show at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre in 2012. (Their epic sold out November 2015 tour, which featured four back to back Sydney Opera House Forecourt performances didn’t make it to Adelaide).

Released globally earlier this week, Florence + The Machine’s latest offering, Big God, is a raw and enchanting affair, and is the third single to be taken from their highly-anticipated fourth album, High As Hope, out next Friday June 29th.

High As Hope is as intimate as it is epic, venturing into new sonic territory whilst reaching back to Florence’s roots. The new album will feature collaborations from the likes of Kamasi Washington, Sampha, Tobias Jesso Jr, Kelsey Lu and Jamie xx, and as Florence describes it, “is a pure expression of who I am now, as an artist, and an honest one.”

The UK artist has dazzled fans and critics alike across three celebrated studio albums; Lungs (2009), Ceremonials (2011) and How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful (2015), which produced a slew of worldwide hits including, You’ve Got The Love, Dog Days Are Over, Shake It Out and Spectrum (Say My Name) among many others.

In a huge coup, it can also be announced that breakout 16-year-old sensation Billie Eilish will join Florence + The Machine on their Sydney, Adelaide and Geelong dates. Earlier this year, Eilish played her debut Australian shows, thrilling fans at St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival and two sold-out headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne. Her latest single, Lovely (with budding superstar Khalid) is an emotional pop affair, and has already gone Gold in Australia while racking up more than 97 million streams.

Supporting Florence + The Machine on their Australian dates is New Zealand indie-troubadour, Marlon Williams. Williams has just completed a sold-out world tour for his sophomore album, Make Way For Love, which included major US television appearances on CONAN and Last Call With Carson Daly, plus recent touring with the likes of Bruce Springsteen and City & Colour.

Phil Rankine of Space Events who is bringing the show to Adelaide said “I’m thrilled that we are bringing Florence + The Machine back to Adelaide and in Botanic Park. We are also excited that Billie Eilish will be performing at the concert. Tickets will sell fast so get in quick on 28 June”.

Don’t miss out when Florence + The Machine return in January to play fan favourites and debut songs from High As Hope in Australia for the very first time.
