Following the hedonistic, technicolor pop of ARIA Gold Azizam and the classic, heartfelt nostalgia of Old Phone, Ed Sheeran returns with Sapphire—a dazzling anthem of connection and unbridled joy. Radiating with vibrant pop energy and rich cross-cultural influences, the track is poised to make its mark on 2025.

Sapphire is a luminous celebration of love that transcends boundaries. Featuring captivating vocals, intricate South-Asian percussion, backing vocals and sitar by legendary Indian artist Arijit Singh, the song creates a unique tapestry that speaks to the universal language of love. Fans are taken on a sonic journey both intimate and expansive, brought to life by the production talents of Ilya Salmanzadeh, Johnny McDaid, and Savan Kotecha.

Ed Sheeran says.. “Sapphire was the first song I finished for Play that made me know where the album was heading. It’s why I finished the recording process in Goa surrounded by some of the best musicians in India. It was an incredible creative process. I shot the music video with Liam and Nic across my India tour earlier this year, we wanted to showcase the beauty and breadth of the country and its culture. The final jigsaw piece for me was getting Arijit on the record. It was a journey to get there and such an amazing day of music and family. Me and him have done a full Punjabi version of the song that will come out in the next few weeks, which has a lot more of him on it. This is the album version of the song, and my favourite song on the album. Hope you guys love it. x“

Mariah Carey, the elusive chanteuse and best-selling female artist of all time with over 200 million records sold, has released Type Dangerous, the lead single from her upcoming 16th studio album, her first in 7 years. This release kicks off a brand new era of her musical legacy.

Mariah produced the single alongside N.W.I. and Daniel Moore. Type Dangerous samples “ERIC B IS PRESIDENT” by Eric B. & Rakim, blending Mariah’s powerful vocals with a classic hip hop beat, creating what is sure to be a summertime anthem.

“I’m so excited to finally be releasing “Type Dangerous” into the world!” shares Carey, “I’ve been locked up in the studio for quite some time working my behind off on new music, and I’m thrilled for the unveiling of it to my fans, starting with “Type Dangerous!”

Jessie Murph debuted Touch Me Like A Gangster at the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Show in Miami, marking its first live performance ahead of the upcoming album.

Murph announced earlier this week that her sophomore album Sex Hysteria is set for release on Friday July 18, her most daring and transformative project yet. Sex Hysteria is a bold departure from the introspective grit of her debut album, That Ain’t No Man That’s The Devil.

Sex Hysteria dives headfirst into uncharted territory for Jessie as she opens up about themes of sexuality, generational trauma, and self-discovery with a vulnerability and honesty that marks a new chapter in her artistic evolution. Peeling back the layers of her story like never before, Jessie transforms personal pain into cathartic, powerful music across 15 tracks. From confronting family wounds to reclaiming her body and desires, she pushes back against the shame and stigma that often silence women who dare to be loud, sexual, or emotionally honest.

Jessie will be in Australia this November for her sold out Worldwide Hysteria Tour.

Beloved Australian singer-songwriter Sara Storer – known for her lyrical honesty, golden voice, and deep connection to country life – has always drawn strength and inspiration from her close-knit, musically gifted family. Now, she’s shining a spotlight on the next generation of Storer talent.

From the dusty plains of the bush to the national stage, music runs thick in the Storer bloodline. Sara’s brother Greg has long been part of her creative journey, contributing his voice, songwriting and instrumental flair across her discography. Notably, her brother Greg and his daughters, Bonny and Pip, helped shape the Golden Guitar winning album Storer in 2023.

Continuing this cherished family tradition, Sara’s latest single, Worth Your Love, features the enchanting voice of her niece, rising talent Sammy Storer. The song, co-written by Sammy and her father Doug Storer, was lovingly crafted as a wedding gift for her sister. Brimming with tender emotion, the track captures the bittersweet emotions of letting go of a beloved sister as she finds new love and begins a new chapter in marriage.

Doug Storer, a seasoned songwriter himself, also co-penned one of Sara’s most iconic songs, Raining on the Plains, a stirring duet with John Williamson that has become a timeless classic in Australian country music.

Sara says, “I’m absolutely thrilled to release this very special song—and even more excited to introduce everyone to the extraordinary voice and songwriting soul of my niece, Sammy. And then in her trademark down-to-earth style jokes, “She must’ve inherited all her talent from her aunty!”

Moderate Lovers are an indie pop/rock three-piece band from Sydney who write skewed melodic tunes with a pinch of jangle, a dash of distortion, and a healthy serving of observational dry wit.

Alongside musical touchstones such as Pavement and Dinosaur Jr, you can hear the rich lineage of Australian indie music, as well as various bands from Flying Nun Records, in their sonic DNA. Indeed, their own musical resume includes time spent treading the boards with local bands such as Soap Star Joe, Starky, Restless Leg, and Froggy Prinze.

Forming in 2024 after a few drinks at the Townie (aka The Town Hall Hotel, Newtown), Mick, Saul, and Adam began crafting Mick’s musical sketches into a full set of indie rock earworms. In short time, they started taking those songs to live stages and appreciative audiences across the inner west of Sydney.

The first taste of the band’s debut EP is the single Lost City, which premiered online with Backseat Mafia. It’s a song that roars into view in a sea of distorted guitar chords – like a lost 90s single from Swervedriver – before singer/guitarist Mick Wilson dispatches his impassioned melodies in a style reminiscent of Robert Pollard of Guided By Voices.

“The song is a loud and distorted tale of lost love and lost friendships, in a city that’s lost too much of its late-night grittiness after years of gentrification,” says Wilson. “But as the song says, “the war isn’t won, don’t think we’re done!””

Following the release of singles Ruby and The Song of The Masochist, award-winning musician, writer and performer Tim Minchin releases his latest track I Wouldn’t Like You, the third single from his forthcoming album TimMinchinTimeMachine, arriving 25 July via BMG.

I Wouldn’t Like You begins as a tender piano ballad, gently unfolding with Minchin’s signature lyrical wit and emotional nuance, before gradually building into a more guitar-driven, alt-rock finish. At its heart, the track is a wry and quietly romantic ode to loving someone exactly as they are, quirks, contradictions and all. With lines like “I wouldn’t like you if you weren’t like you,” Minchin delivers a love song that’s both offbeat and sincere, playfully rejecting perfection in favour of authenticity. It’s equal parts dry humour and heartfelt truth, wrapped in a deceptively simple melody that swells with feeling as the track evolves.

Tim Minchin said: “Of all the tunes on this record that have been reinvented, this one has had the most successful vibe update. I always thought this was a keeper, but now with Evan’s loping groove, and the pure undeniable jank of Jak’s guitar in the chorus… I love it.”

NYC-based, New Zealand-born artist Harper Finn unveils Love and Loneliness, the evocative third track from his highly anticipated debut album – a body of work shaped by solitude, self-discovery, and the raw atmosphere of his time in New York City.

Where his previous songs Doves and Where Did She Go explored themes of escape and loss, ‘Love and Loneliness’ turns inward. Composed during a relationship clouded by emotional ambiguity, the track grapples with the uncomfortable question: “Are we still together because we love each other, or because we don’t want to be alone?”

Harper shares, “It’s set in a cold, grey New York winter – one of those times where you’re surrounded by people but feel completely alone. The piano chords bring me back to those damp concrete streets, getting home late, keys lost, banging on the wrong apartment door. Walking back to someone, but it already feels like the apartment’s empty.”

The song is a gentle, cinematic slow burn – reminiscent of Conversations With The Moon – with airy piano melodies that captures the stillness of winter in the city.

Grammy-nominated global pop sensation Benson Boone shares his heartfelt new ballad, Momma Song. The track serves as the next taste of his highly anticipated new album American Heart, arriving June 20 via Night Street Records/Warner Records.

Dedicated to his mother, Momma Song sees Boone lean into the vulnerable side of his songwriting. “Take me down your old street, tell me your memories of when you were young and when you fell in love.”

The track arrives on the heels of recent anthem Mystical Magical. Benson first debuted the song last month at Coachella, where he also brought out surprise guest Brian May of Queen for an acclaimed, viral performance of “Bohemian Rhapsody.”

Global superstar DEAN LEWIS has shared his fan track TRUTH. This new track comes from the upcoming deluxe edition of his third studio album, The Epilogue, due for release on Friday 11th July 2025.

Serving as a sequel to Dean’s smash hit Waves, Truth is a soul-baring ballad that dives deep into the emotional wreckage of heartbreak, exploring the raw aftermath of betrayal and unspoken truths. With hauntingly intimate vocals and rousing production, the track captures the ache of unanswered questions and the lingering hope for closure. This is heartbreak laid bare – honest, aching, and unforgettable. The accompanying visual picks up where Waves left off, continuing the story with powerful visual callbacks and emotional depth. While Waves charted the rise and fall of a relationship in real time, Truth is the quiet storm that follows – a raw reflection on love lost, where time has passed but the pain still lingers. This seamless follow-up delivers a hit of emotion and closure that longtime fans will feel instantly.

Global pop-powerhouse Ava Max has released her latest single and music video, Lovin Myself. A fearless celebration of independence, her latest offering sees Ava Max embracing her power like never before; over bright orchestration, punchy beats, and soaring vocals, she sings, “I don’t need nobody / I’m lovin myself / Tonight, it’s all about me / And it’s good for my health.” A vibrant, unshakable anthem of self-empowerment, the bold new track marks a new high in the popstar’s unstoppable career and is the latest release from her highly anticipated third album, Don’t Click Play, out on August 22 via Atlantic Records.

The accompanying video was directed by Claire Arnold and comes at a pivotal moment in Ava Max’s career. With over 22 billion global streams, multi-Platinum certifications, and an arsenal of pop smashes including Sweet But Psycho, Kings & Queens, My Head & My Heart, and The Motto with Tiësto, Ava has proven herself a singular voice in modern pop.

Canadian alt-rock outfit The Beaches share a new offering from their highly anticipated upcoming record, Did I Say Too Much, out everywhere now. The track is the third single from their third studio album, No Hard Feelings, out everywhere August 29th via AWAL. Furthermore, they announce a massive headlining North American tour.

Did I Say Too Much is a biting, vulnerable callout of a head-spinning situationship built on mixed signals and unspoken truths. Throughout the song, frontperson Jordan Miller wears her heart on her sleeve as she questions her own role and if she misinterpreted the relationship. Shortly after, the catchy bridge flips the focus to the other party, putting Miller’s own feelings aside while she bluntly asks “What the fuck is wrong with you?” The track balances vulnerability and defiance as it channels heartbreak into power, serving as another impressive release in The Beaches’ new era.

“It’s a song about how tough it can be to navigate queer heartbreak. There are so many layers, the pressure to stay friends with your ex, the complications of open relationships, dating girls who have boyfriends. It touches on what it’s like to come out later in life, and how overwhelming it can all feel. This song, specifically, is about stepping into an open relationship with no expectations, only to fall hard. It’s about the intensity of sharing your deepest feelings, knowing it’s not built to last, and the heartbreak of realizing you might’ve said too much.”

After closing out his sold-out Not Even A Tour run and lighting up Radio 1’s Big Weekend with a powerful back-to-back headline set alongside Aitch, AJ Tracey unveils his most emotionally raw single to date, 3rd Time Lucky, which is out now. The track is a moving tribute to his mum and her battle and recovery from cancer – offering fans a deeply personal insight into a formative chapter of his life.

A stripped-back, soul-bearing release, 3rd Time Lucky finds AJ at his most vulnerable, reflecting on fear, gratitude and the quiet strength of family. The single closes with a special message from Maggie’s, the UK-based cancer support charity, who have partnered with AJ on this release and will be supporting a fundraiser via YouTube.

AJ Tracey on today’s single – “3rd Time Lucky” is about going through tough times with your loved ones, but coming through stronger at the end of it. I wanted to be honest but also hopeful, to help give strength to all those who need it.”

The Blak Matriarch of Hip Hop, BARKAA, steps forward with the environmentally charged new single NGAMAKA, featuring fellow Malyapana/Barkindji artist and respected elder, Uncle LEROY JOHNSON.

Alongside the sharp production by Jaytee Hazard, the lyrics written by BARKAA and Leroy, NGAMAKA sends an urgent call to raise awareness about the plight of the Murray-Darling Basin – from its rapid depletion due to the worsening effects of climate change, farming irrigation and corporate mining.

For over 60,000+ years, water has been central to the cultural, social and spiritual identity of Australia’s First Nations people, as well as to their livelihoods. For the Barkindji people, the Darling River (the Baaka) is the heartbeat and lifeblood of its people and country. The river’s future is in crisis, affecting those who depend on it.

BARKAA explains, “Ngamaka is the Barkindji word for mother / mum. The river is our heartbeat as Barkindji people, the translation is river people. Our river is our mother; our water is our mother and heartbeat. Whenever the river is depleted, we feel down as people.”

Wik and Solomon Islander multidisciplinary artist Ziggy Ramo unveils his new single in the form of See It Through. Following his recent collaboration with Atticus and vonn on Who We Are, Ziggy’s latest arrival sees his sound continue on an uplifting trajectory.

Marking his second release since his critically acclaimed 2024 album Human?, See It Through is a tale of grit, perseverance and inner strength. Combining electronic and r’n’b elements, See It Through is danceable yet self-reflective, serving as a testament to Ziggy’s duality as an artist.

Ziggy says of the track, “See It Through was a fight to write. It started as a completely different song, but lyrically it just wasn’t landing. I ended up scrapping it and coming back with fresh ears—trying to really feel what the music was telling me. When it finally clicked, it was visceral. JCAL and I have been building this sound since Same Script and A to Z, and this one feels like a full circle moment,”

“This track is about holding onto your truth, even when it’s uncomfortable—trusting yourself enough to keep pushing through.”

The Band CAMINO is back. The Nashville-based trio – comprised of Jeffery Jordan, Spencer Stewart, and Garrison Burgess – release Baggy Jeans, their second new single of 2025 after kicking off with Infinity last month. Co-written with Captain Cuts, the track’s synths slip into the undertow of an upbeat groove punctuated by a hummable harmony and a hypnotic hook.

“A lot of the songs we wrote for this upcoming project follow some sort of juxtaposition… finding yourself by losing yourself, changing while staying the same, finding the extraordinary in the mundane. Sometimes the most life altering moments present themselves in the most casual way. Like the love of your life putting on a pair of trendy Abercrombie jeans, ordering an açaí bowl, and dumping you. ‘Baggy Jeans’ is one of our favorite songs we’ve made recently. It feels like old CAMINO and new CAMINO at the same time.” – The Band CAMINO

Fresh off the back of a completely sold-out North American tour and record-breaking demand across the UK and Europe, Lorde releases her next single, Man of the Year.

The track, co-produced by Lorde and Jim-E Stack, follows the breakout success of What Was That, which debuted at #1 on US Spotify and climbed to #5 globally – marking her highest streaming debut since Royals.

Man of the Year offers another electrifying look into Virgin – Lorde’s highly anticipated fourth studio album, out June 27. The new record promises a bold sonic evolution, balancing maximalist production with the artist’s signature lyrical intimacy.

Australian pop trio and noted ones to watch Blusher return with the pulsating and carefree WHATEVERWHATEVER via Warner Music Australia. Finding its sound within fresh synth-pop and dreamy nostalgia, Jade, Lauren and Miranda deliver inescapable melodies that highlights a nonchalant escapism. This song follows the recent release of RACER which boldly opened a new chapter for the band, and entered the AU Spotify Viral Chart.

“This song is for the times when you just need to be reminded – “it’s not that deep”. We wanted to make something you can yell in your car to shake off the pressure and heaviness. We wrote this to remind ourselves that to truly be creative you have to let go.” Blusher says of the new single.

Following on from Never Know, her debut single released in 2024, Melbourne based artist Lucky returns with new single Clover.

Clover sees Lucky leaning further into her signature fusion of hazy indie textures and the restless pulse of alt-rock. With shimmering guitars and a vocal that balances vulnerability and bite, the track feels like a late-night drive through tangled thoughts.

Says Lucky of the single, “‘Clover’ references a 4 leaf clover I found when I was a kid. I still have it framed somewhere in my family home. Thinking back on that moment, and how I saw the world then, compared to now, it became the inspiration for the lyrics and the journey the song takes.

As a kid, I genuinely believed everything would just work out, that life would fall perfectly into place. At some point you realise it doesn’t always go that way, and ‘Clover’ was written about that—trying to hold onto that innocence, and naivety for as long as you can. It’s me trying to convince myself that everything will be okay, even though deep down I know life isn’t as simple as being ‘lucky’.”
